LGC, in collaboration with domestic and international partners, offers professional training in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Scotland, South Africa, and Turkey.  At the professional level, topics include depositional facies models, sequence stratigraphy, halogenetic structures and successions, fractured carbonate reservoirs, and development and production of historical petroleum provinces.  Additionally, we provide educational field trips and full field camps for colleges and universities.

Most courses are designed for professional geologists and graduate students in the fields of energy, mining, and environmental remediation.  Each has been developed to be offered in the field, in the classroom, and virtually.  Of course, our thought is field versions are by far the most effective, followed by live classroom instruction, then virtual.  For in-class live sessions, we travel to the location of the client.  The virtual format can be done live or recorded.  In addition to listed courses, we work with individual companies, agencies, and academic institutions to create new, customized trips and courses specific to unique needs and location.
